WHAT IS DYSPORT®?

Dysport® is a neuromodulator that works in much the same way as Botox®. The active ingredient in Dysport® temporarily relaxes muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles each time you use facial expressions. Some of the key differences between Dysport® and Botox® are:

• Full results of Dysport® treatments tend to take two to five days, and full results from Botox® injections can take four to seven days

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM DYSPORT® INJECTIONS?

Dysport® is administered through a series of injections with a small needle. You may feel a slight prick as the needle is inserted into the skin. After the injections, the wrinkles may be less obvious, but full results can take a few days. The injections may cause some mild and localized bleeding, swelling, and tenderness for the first 24 to 48 hours.

The results of Dysport® treatments last three to four months on average, and this varies by patient. In general, we recommend touch-up treatments every four months.
